Hello, I am Teresa McCoy and I teach 6th grade ELA at Utica Middle School. This is my twenty-third year at North Fork, my sixth at the middle school. I have taught for the past 38 years. I graduated from Ohio University in Athens and received my Master's Degree from Walden University in Reading.
I live in Newark with my two daughters, Annmarie and Carlie. Annmarie is 30 and is on the Autism Spectrum as well as developmentally delayed. She currently attends The Donna Jean Center during the day. Carlie is 23 and works at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in two Neurosurgical Research labs. We have a dog, named Lacey, and a cat, Casanova.
I love working with students and having the opportunity to help them become life long readers. I am blessed to be doing a job that I am passionate about in a district that I love. I want my past and present students to know that I am always hear to listen and help in anyway I can.
