Hi!
I'm Laurie Londot and I have been teaching since 1993-94 school year! I have taught 6th and 7th grade math and ELA at Lakewood Junior High and 5th grade at Newton Elementary. I have been at Utica Junior high since 2000. Since coming to the junior high (ok, so now we call it Utica Middle School), I have taught 7th grade math, 7th grade world history, 8th grade American history, and at year 29 of teaching, in 2021, I decided I needed a new challenge so I took on 8th grade science. If you had told me 20 years ago I would teach 8th grade science I would have said you were crazy, but I absolutely loved the change and the content!

I graduated from Utica High School and attended the University of Louisville, where I played volleyball. I have been married to my husband, Kevin (also a UHS graduate), since 1993 and I have 3 daughters who also play volleyball. Rachel graduated from Long Island University Post, and is now a federal agent in the army. Alyson played volleyball at Robert Morris University and is currently an assistant coach at Western Illinois University. Emily attends The Ohio State University and plays volleyball as well. As you can tell, much of my free time is spent with volleyball. In the first 27 years of my teaching career I coached 23 of them at one level or another, mostly as the varsity coach. I retired from coaching in 2019 and am now enjoying what summer and after school looks like without the additional responsibilities.
