****UPDATE**** - North Fork will provide FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students in the district for the 2024-25 school year. The success of this program is dependent on EACH household, regardless of your income, completing an application for free and reduced-price meals. Applications are available in each building, the administrative office, the link below, or through the PaySchools link below.
S-EBT CARDS
The Ohio Department of Job & Family Services will be offering S-EBT cards. The S-EBT is a new program that provides eligible children with Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits during the summer to help close the hunger gap when children are on summer break and not receiving school meals. S-EBT benefits are placed on a card issued by (JFS) that can be used at authorized grocery stores to buy food items. There will be a one-time issuance for $120.00 in mid-June. Not all benefits will be processed on the same day.
Households currently receiving SNAP benefits: S-EBT benefits for each eligible child in the household will be issued on the family's existing Ohio Direction Card.
Households not currently receiving SNAP benefits: A new S-EBT card will be mailed for each child eligible to receive S-EBT benefits to the household.
Students must remain enrolled in school through the end of the school year and the benefit does not extend to students fully virtual or attending online. They must have access to the National School Lunch Program.
