10th – 12th Grades
The study of Geometry provides students the opportunity to describe and apply the properties of similar and congruent figures, to apply the Pythagorean Theorem, to understand angles, to compare parallel and perpendicular lines, to explore compass and straight edge constructions in the context of geometric theorems, and to use a variety of techniques of proof. The class will move at a more accelerated pace and will solve more challenging problems encountered in Geometry. Students must be well organized, complete acceptable homework, and score adequately on tests to remain in the course.

Prerequisites: Teacher Recommendation and a B Average or Better in Algebra 1
