Math III extends into the study of Geometry, providing students the opportunity to describe and apply the properties of similar and congruent figures, to apply the Pythagorean Theorem, to understand angles, to compare parallel and perpendicular lines, to explore compass and straight edge constructions in the context of geometric theorems, and to use a variety of techniques of proof. Students must be well organized and complete acceptable homework. Math III is intended to meet the requirements for topics in geometry. A scientific calculator is required.
