English 11 includes spelling and vocabulary study; fiction and non-fiction reading selections with an emphasis on comprehension skills; and writing instruction designed to improve students’ competency in the areas of fundamental grammar, sentence structure, and paragraph development, with numerous projects related to “real-world” experiences. Students will also prepare for the ACT, which takes place in the spring.
