Course Information

Ninth-grade students will chronologically study historical aspects from all over the world from the Age of Enlightenment through the late 20th century. Modern World History incorporates each of the seven social study content standards as aligned through Ohio’s State Tests. As students study historic eras, they consider the influence of geographic settings, cultural perspectives, economic systems and various forms of government. Students develop a deeper understanding of the role of citizens and continue to develop their research skills. This course is required for all 9th graders
