History through Film is a semester-long, elective course designed to answer the question "can film be used to teach history?" Students in class will watch hand-selected Hollywood films to determine the accuracy and validity of film use in the classroom. Each film viewing will include an introduction to the time period, viewing of the film, and follow up activities - including discussions, reflection questions, projects and short essays. Films will span American history chronologically from the American Revolution to present.
