Second Grade Teacher
Welcome to second grade at Utica Elementary!
My name is Mrs. Megan Morey and this is my eleventh year teaching in my own classroom. Upon receiving my Bachelor’s Degree from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2009, I spent fourteen weeks working with second grade students in Newark, Ohio for my student teaching placement. After my student teaching experience, I was a substitute teacher for various school districts within Knox County. From 2010-2012, I taught second grade full-time for Licking Heights Local Schools. Since 2013, I have been teaching second grade full-time for North Fork Local School District. I completed my Master’s of Education with a specialization in reading and literacy through Walden University in 2017.
When I am not involved in school related activities, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my husband, Derek, and my two daughters; one is 9 and the other is 7 years old. I also enjoy being around animals, singing, listening to music, going to the zoo, camping, and attending Columbus Blue Jacket hockey games.
