Hi!  I am the Gifted Intervention Specialist for North Fork Local School District.  I work with Newton and Utica Elementary Schools, rotating between the two buildings on a weekly basis.  I work with gifted students at multiple grade levels, their families, and the classroom teachers.   I also visit the first grade classes, teaching lessons from a thinking strategies program called PETS.   A little bit about me....I received my Gifted Endorsement for Grades K-12 in 2018.  My educational areas of interest include:  thinking strategies, Problem-Based Learning, STEM, Whole Brain Teaching, creative thinking, and social-emotional learning.  My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a Master's Degree in School Psychology, and teaching certification Preschool through Grade 8.  I have been teaching for over 20 years now.  I am a lifelong learner and I hope to inspire my students to love learning, too!  I look forward to supporting your gifted education needs!  Please let me know how I can help.
