My name is Derek Morey and I am pleased to have this opportunity to teach Physical Education to your son/daughter.  I am excited to get to know your child and further develop his/her knowledge and skills this year.

To tell you a little about myself, I grew up in Horseheads, NY and chose to attend and play collegiate baseball for Mount Vernon Nazarene University from 2001-2005.  I graduated with a degree in both Health and Physical Education and Exercise Science with a Sports Management minor. Upon graduation I worked as an Exercise Physiologist – Wellness Coordinator at Knox Community Hospital and held that position until July 2021.  I’ve had the pleasure to play baseball in Nicaragua and Venezuela along with coach both the Knox County American Legion and MVNU baseball teams. The wealth of knowledge and skills I’ve acquired through the years has enhanced my passion for teaching and deeply improved my ability to teach PE.
