Hi, my name is Danielle Doup and I am one of the three 6th grade math teachers at Utica Middle School. I am super excited about everything coming up this school year and I have high expectations for the students in my classes. I have coached the Utica Girls' Basketball team and the Utica Girls' Volleyball team for the past couple years and I am involved in several organizations in the community. I might have even served some of you dinner at Nick's Pizza because I have waitressed there for about ten years. I have one younger brother, who recently graduated from Utica and is attending The Ohio State University for Mechanical Engineering, and a little black Yorkipoo named Flash. I am still relatively new to teaching at Utica Middle School, but I have been proud to call Utica my home for 24 years! I had the privilege of attending Utica from Kindergarten clear through 12th grade and I was actually the school mascot my senior year and involved with sports, extra-curricular activities, and clubs during my schooling. After I graduated high school, I attended The Ohio State University of Newark, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education. I learned so much through my teaching program and I have continued researching more methods in order to use the newest practices in my classroom! I believe communication and involvement is an essential tool for success, so please do not hesitate to email me at any time with questions or concerns to let me know how I can help!
