Welcome to first grade!
Utica has been my home for the past nine years and this is a wonderful community. I am happy to have joined the first grade team at Utica Elementary in 2014. I live with my husband, our two sons, and our new puppy, Buckeye.
I graduated from the Ohio State University with a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and earned my Reading Endorsement credential through Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 2014. I started my teaching career as a long term substitute in a second grade classroom at High Point Elementary School in Gahanna. Then I taught at Northridge for eight years. I taught first and second grade while at Northridge and loved them both! First grade is a fun grade to teach!
In addition to teaching, I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outside, reading, walking, and cheering on the Buckeyes!
