My name is Shawn Sapp, and this is my fifth-year teaching 6th grade social studies at Utica Middle School. I was a long-term sub to start out six years ago and was hired full time the following year. I attended Licking Valley Local Schools growing up and then went on to get my bachelor's degree in middle childhood education at the Ohio State University. I recently acquired my master's degree in curriculum and instruction through American College of Education. Social studies, history, and writing are my passions! At the beginning of my second school year teaching 6th grade social studies (October 2020), my wife and I bought our first home together in the district and moved from Newark to become full time residents of North Fork Local Schools. We now have a one-year-old son that we are so thankful for. I am looking forward to this school year and all the opportunities it will bring!
