I am a graduate of The Ohio State University in 1985 and 1991 with a Master's Degree in Social Studies Education. I have been a teacher for 39 years with the last 36 at Utica High School. I live in Newark with my wife Lisa for the past 26 years. We have three boys all are in college.  

When I first came to Utica in 1988, I taught Geography and American History. I coached high school and junior high track for 12 years, and was the Head Football Coach for 24 years. I now teach American Government, AP Government, Geography, and Psychology for the 2023-2024 school year.
