Mr. Trost earned his Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and then went on to obtain his Master's degree at Mount Vernon Nazerene University.  He loves teaching science in creative ways, such as using songs, research, experiments, and nature.  His class focuses on various aspects of science, including air and water currents on Earth, patterns of the Earth/Moon/Sun, the diversity of life, the different types of environments that support life, the elements that make up everything around us, and the transfer of energy throughout our environment.  Mr. Trost tries to incorporate technology, collaboration, and direct instruction into each of his classes so that he can give students the ability to learn in different ways each day.

In his free time, Mr. Trost spends his time with his wife Jennifer and their two beautiful daughters, Ruby and Clara.  They love to eat ice cream, go on walks in the woods, ride their bicycles, and play with their animals--Snakey (ball python), Optimus Prime (leopard gecko), and Carmella (chocolate lab).  To Mr. Trost, nothing is more important than family; and in his classroom, all of his students are considered family.  Feel free to contact him anytime at [email protected].
